Outrageous Baking Pizza Crust
Milk Mixture
- 1 cup milk (warm, not hot, to the touch)
- 2 tsp yeast
- 1 tsp sugar
Dry ingredients
- 1 1/4 cup Outrageous Baking All-Purpose Flour Mix
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 2 Tbsp almond flour
Wet ingredients
- 1/4 cup olive oil and 1 Tbsp more to brush on crust
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
Mix the milk mixture together and let it sit until the yeast activates. Set aside.
In another bowl, mix the dry ingredients. Next add the olive oil and vinegar and blend until combined.
Add your milk mixture to the the flour and oil mixture and beat on medium speed until thoroughly combined. The mixture will look wet at first, but eventually thickens after about a minute. Bring the dough together in a bowl and cover with plastic wrap to rest for one hour in a warm spot.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. On an overturned sheet pan, place a sheet of parchment paper sprayed with vegetable spray. Gently put the dough on the parchment paper and press into a large 16″ round OR on two sheet pans press into two 12″ rounds.
Roll the dough with a rolling pin by placing a piece of plastic wrap on top of the dough until a uniform thickness is achieved. Build up an edge around the outer part of the dough by using our finger and thumb.
Brush a Tbsp of olive oil on top and edges of the crust before baking and sprinkle with 1/2 tsp of coarse sea salt (optional).
Bake on the middle rack for about 25 minutes for the large crust and 20 minutes for the thinner crusts.
When ready, top your baked crust with toppings or save and use for later (up to two days) Bake your pizza directly on the middle rack in a preheated 375 degree oven until the top is golden and bubbly.
