Pizzelles

A delicious light holiday cookie, perfect for sharing with family and friends.
Prep Time 15 minutes
Servings 15

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cup of Outrageous Baking All Purpose Flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar I cut this down from original recipe which was 3/4
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla or anise extract

Instructions

  • Place flour and baking powder in a small bowl.
  • Mix eggs, sugar,vanilla, slowly add meted butter.
  • Add flour mixture until just combined.
  • Heat Pizzelle iron and grease it.
  • Drop 2 tsp of batter in the center of the iron. Close lid and lock.
  • Follow instruction of your iron when cookies should be done, most likely it will be when he green light comes back on.

Notes

Warm Pizzelles may be wrapped around a dowel to make cannoli shells.
You can do any variation of flavors you like, add peppermint crushed candy or some mini chocolate chips.
