Here in Colorado, it’s been feeling a bit balmy lately–and you may be itching to start your garden! (You should try it–here’s some reasons why!)
But there’s nothing worse than being caught by surprise by a late frost, so I decided to find out exactly when to plant what here in Colorado so it doesn’t happen to me again! I found my answer in a surprising place: the Old Farmer’s Almanac (yes, the one originally published during George Washington’s first term as president) has adapted to the digital age! They have some handy images to help you know when to start, plant, and harvest certain vegetables for a flourishing garden.
Did you know you can grow your own herbs for immunosupport, for natural warming, to add a cozy dash of spice to any dish, and to cool you down in summer heat? It’s easy and fun for the whole family!
Come tell us about your gardens and say hello at the Longmont and Boulder Farmer’s Markets starting April 7th 2018!
